Beauty for Peace: Art that Heals and Inspires
Alexandra Dikaia at Beauty for Peace: Art That Heals and Inspires Exhibition

On May 17-18, 2024, the Perch Eco Business Centre in Bicester, UK, became the heart of creativity and compassion during the “Beauty for Peace” art exhibition, featuring 180 captivating works by 30 displaced Ukrainian artists, including Alexandra Dikaia.

This two-day event brought together a vibrant mix of art, live music, celebrity appearances, and a supportive community atmosphere, attracting over 200 visitors. It raised more than £1,800 for humanitarian aid, with proceeds distributed to the artists and organizations supporting Ukraine, such as the Bicester Humanitarian Aid Partnership.
Alexandra’s symbolic and evocative style stood out among the diverse artworks, capturing the resilience and hope of the Ukrainian spirit. Visitors had the chance to connect with her work and the stories it tells, fostering an even deeper appreciation for the art’s cultural and emotional significance.

A highlight of the event was an auction hosted by BBC One’s Bargain Hunt presenter Charlie Ross, who helped amplify the fundraising impact. The exhibition’s success was further enriched by the dedication of TownSq, the venue’s management team, and their continued efforts to support the Ukrainian community through cultural events and safe spaces.

The overwhelming response to “Beauty for Peace” has sparked plans to replicate this exhibition in other cities, creating more opportunities for Ukrainian artists like Alexandra to showcase their talent, inspire audiences, and contribute to meaningful causes.
